Dubai Based, Indian Actor Mir Imran has three interests in media, acting, writing & film making

Mir Imran is one to look out for in the coming years, a person with creative approach towards life, having expertise in media with specialization in writing, acting & film Making. Originally from Bangalore, India, Imran made Dubai his home about six years ago. He regards his decision of coming to Dubai as blessing in disguise. A banker by profession during the day, Imran is a known figure in media circle in Dubai. After having penned numerous articles for leading newspapers in Dubai, Imran launched his first book ‘Life @ 27’ in Dubai 2 years ago. He regards this as a turning point in his career. Imran has three interests in media, acting, writing & film making.

Acting stint includes acting in theater, ‘Acting in theater has given me immense satisfaction’ at times we used to rehearse till late 2 at night & yet not get tired. It instills a lot of discipline in a person besides improving your acting immensely’ says Imran. He has acted in six hindi plays, a couple of them world famous plays such as ‘Jisne Lahore nahi dekhiya woh jamia hi nahi’ & ‘Juloos’. English play ‘A few good men’ in which Imran played the role of William Santiago was nominated for Times out award in best theatrical production category three years ago. Out of the three interests Imran says ‘film making comes very naturally to me’. The talented lad started making short films four years ago. His first film was ‘Birthdays… a reflection of life’, ‘A superman’s day’ directed for 48 hours film festival won an award in most promising actor categpry. His latest direction is for a short film on teachers. Besides short film Imran has directed music videos ‘Ghar aa ja’ & ‘I am your sunshine’ for dubai based singers which were released in Vox cinemas, Deira city centre, Dubai. Imran’s love for Dubai intrigued him to make his first documentary ‘Beyond Boundaries’ which is about Indians & Pakistanis living in harmony in Dubai. ‘The subject is very close to my heart, more so as it involves real life experiences. This documentary has instilled tremendous confidence in me & has brought me into limelight both in UAE & internationally” says Imran happily.
