FAD International Academy, one of India’s premier contemporary arts and fashion schools, showcases 35 GEN-NEXT designers at India Fashion Week Dubai 2014. The shows will be held at 4:45 pm on Thursday 4th of September, and 4:00 pm on Friday 5th of September at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Dubai.

The show on the first day will feature over 70 ensembles that will start with the print-based high street collection and then leading into the avant-garde couture line inspired by the dramatic steam punk sub genre. The second day show, on the other hand, is inspired by the dying craftsmanship from rural India and develops this to a contemporary fashion line with global silhouettes. As an effort to promote and revive the craft form, and draw the attention of international fashion houses to support these communities specializing in them, the four designers of the show extensively traveled to these rural areas to understand and tell the craftsmen’s story through their unique collection.
