The Super Stars T20 Season II Press Conference and Team Unveiling Event at Crown Plaza Hotel Dubai

The Super Stars T20 Season II Press conference and Team Unveiling event took place in a glittering ceremony at Crown Plaza Hotel Dubai, The tournament is organized by Dubai Cricket Council in collaboration with Web Channel and in association with JYK. The SuperStars T20 is one of the richest tournament in UAE Domestic circuit and the tournament has been started from from 18th April at Fairgrounds Oval in Dubai Men’s college. Teams based on cities from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and UAE will compete for total cash prize money of 65,000 AED and a brand new car awarded to the winners. Tournament is continuing its tradition of rewarding the participating teams and players with some of the biggest awards in history of domestic cricket. The tournament organizing committee comprises of Mr.Abdul Azim Ansari (MD WebChannel&Tournament Director), Mr.Rahul Dalwale (Tournament Manager) and Ms.Juhi Yasmeen Khan (Founder – JYK PR & Marketing). The function was attended by Mr. Mohammad Redha Abbas (Hon. Vice Chairman DCC) Mr. Amin Farooq (Hon. Secretary DCC) H.E Ambassador Mr. Javed Malik (Pakistani Prime Minister’s Special Envoy) H.E Mr. Abdul Raheem (Consul General of Sri Lanka, Dubai) Mr. Kajari Biswas (Consul – Education, Indian Consulate, Dubai) Mr. Bharat Bhai Shah (convenor, NRI Cell, Indian Business Professional Council, Sharjah) Also present were Mr. Roop Razdan (Owner Fairgrounds Oval) along with team owners such as Vinod Adnani, Vishal Chhabariya, Adnan ul Mulk and Adil Mirza among others. The evening was hosted by Parikshit from Josh FM. The distinguished guest Mr. Mohammad Redha Abbas (Hon. Vice Chairman DCC) lauded the efforts of the organizers and extended his support for a successful tournament.
The Guests of honour Consul General of Sri Lanka – H.E. Mr. Abdul Raheem, Pakistani Prime Minister’s Special Envoy – Ambassador H.E. Mr. Javed Malik, Ms. Kajari Biswas – Consul, Education, Indian Consulate, Dubai and mr. Bharat Bhai Shah – Convenor, NRI Cell IBPC, Sharjah congratulated the organizers and DCC and said that the tournaments unique concept of associating its teams on cities from UAE, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will bring the diverse communities of UAE who love cricket together. Mr. Amin Farooq (Hon. DCC Secretary) said “We will work hard to promote and improve the cricket in UAE and to take it to the next level. The tournaments like SuperStars T20 will help us in this endeavor”. Ms. Juhi Yasmeen Khan said she is very pleased with her and JYK’s association with the SuperStars T20 and thanked the media and press fraternity and the honourable guests and friends for their tremendous response to the tournament. Mr. Abdul Azim Ansari Director of SuperStars T20 thanked Dubai Cricket Council for their support and guests of honour from the Consulate of India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka for their presence and said “We have taken a right step in the direction of achieving our goal of providing one of the finest cricketing tournament in UAE with focus firmly on encouraging UAE local cricketing talent and increasing public awareness and fan following of UAE domestic cricket”. At the event Mr. Khuram Khan (UAE Cricket Captain) and Mr. Farrukh Siddiqui (Hon. DCC Member) were felicitated for their immense contribution and hard work towards the cricket in UAE. The event commenced as the honourable guests participated in the open draws for the SuperStars T20 which divided 16 participating teams into group of 4. The tournament will comprise of 31 matches starting with opening encounter on 18th The teams are owned by following 16 top corporate from UAE.
The tournament is organised by Dubai Cricket Council in collaboration with WebChannel in association with JK PR & Marketing. The tournament is supported by: Star Digital Prints, YAS Sports, Phoenix Medicine, Multiplex International, Sasha Enterprises and PR & Marketing by JYK. The umpires, scorers and match officials will be provided by the Dubai Cricket Council.
