Gulf Air Senior Officials Meet with Dubai Travel Agents in Preparation for the Re-launch of Iraq and Iran Routes

Senior commercial officials from Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air met with key Dubai sales agents last week, as the countdown continues to the re-launch of the airline’s flights to eight prominent Iraqi and Iranian destinations. During the visit, they discussed the sales figures to date and the forthcoming peak season bookings, encouraged by Gulf Air’s convenient flight schedule and efficient connection timings through the airline’s Bahrain hub to each destination in Iran and Iraq. Flights to Baghdad, Erbil, Najaf and Basra in Iraq will begin progressively between 20th September and 29th October 2012. With Al Najaf, the first destination to reopen from 20th September, passengers can choose from 4 weekly flights (which will be increased to daily from 1st December) while Baghdad will launch on 21st September with 5 weekly flights. Erbil will launch effective from 23rd September with 4 weekly flights increasing to daily from 28th October and Basra will launch on 29th October with 3 weekly flights increasing to 4 from 1st December.
Flights to Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz and Isfahan in Iran will begin progressively between 22nd September and 30th October 2012. Mashhad, scheduled to reopen from 22nd September, will have 4 weekly flights (which will be increased to daily from 02nd December) while Shiraz will launch on 23rd September with 5 weekly flights increasing to daily from 01st December. Tehran will launch on 25th September with 6 weekly flights increasing to daily from 01st December and Isfahan will launch on 30th October with 3 weekly flights.
